"Be the change you want to see in the world ...."
One thing that extremely bothers me in today's world and especially in the United States is the way the human population abuses the earth. It's mind boggling how the human race can deteriorate the place we inhabit. The ripping of the Ozone Layer, the melting of the polar ice caps, both results of the carelessness of humans.
I just wish that the human race would be more mindful , the small things really add up. For instance, if Americans recycled just 1/10 of their newspapers 25 million trees could be saved every year. Do you know how important that is? Trees utilize carbon dioxide and give off oxygen, two results that are extremely beneficial to humans.
Recycling just one aluminum can provide enough energy for you to listen to a whole album on your iPod, only one. We need to come to the realization that these types of wasteful ways we exhibit are only going to to harm us in the long run. Stop the littering and start the conserving, Mother Nature can only carry but so much. This type of behavior is "trashy" ... the human race needs to clean up their act.
