Currently as a Senior, I would have to sum up my college career as a life changing experience. Transferring from a CUNY college prior to Albany was a difficult, but a rewarding task. I changed from having a shy personality to an outgoing personality where I hold a leadership position on campus.
My most memorable moment at the University at Albany would have to be obtaining a position in the Department of Residential Life as a Residential Assistant. This was my first job I've ever had and it lead to various opportunities on campus. My first semester here as a transfer student was difficult due to the fact everyone hung out with people that they met freshman year.
After becoming a Residential Assistant, I networked with more people and it also helped me obtain other jobs on campus. I've always enjoyed helping people and this was the perfect job for me, especially helping first-year students who are full of energy and excitement. I love my experience at UA despite the struggles that come along daily, but I never regret the decision of transferring from John Jay.
