Thoughts on High School STEM Classes: Asta Kaba

My views of the STEM fields have gone through a process of metamorphosis while in high school. Freshman year I loved my living environment and algebra class. Also in my sophomore year I enjoyed having chemistry and Algebra 2 and Trigonometry. Junior year I had physics and geometry and I honestly hated it. The topics intensified throughout the year and required more studying.

As a freshman in college I would advise that for your STEM field based classes you need to assign one hour of reviewing for each class. This helps you reiterate what has been taught recently and previously. And when you come across something you don’t understand see your teachers before or after class to explain it. Never let anything confusing pass you because I realized that STEM field based classes continue to build on what you learned before. So if you don’t understand a topic now, your most likely not going to understand the next one because it’s a continuation of what you previously learned.
