If I had to pick anyone to consider as my role model I would choose my mother. My mother is the epitome of how a woman should behave, think and carry herself. One of the most important characteristics a role mole should own is good leadership skills. One has to know how to set a positive example because with the title role model one is held to a different standard. Role models also have to be responsible and be accountable for their actions. No one is perfect but to be a good role model you have to strive for excellence and try to excel in everything you do.
Everyone needs a role model. Whether it's an academic role model or a social role model, having someone to look up to shapes a person's life for the better or sometimes for the worst. As C-STEP/ STEP scholars we need to always be conscious of how we care ourselves and react to situations. We maybe be someone's role model and not even know it.
